Key Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the activities of the Power Solutions engineering design functional areas.
- Conducting conceptual and feasibility studies pertaining to new projects, and managing new product development including project planning, scheduling, cost control and estimation, procurement and contract management.
- Responsible for the design, development and validation of all engineering work, and implementing this engineering work to support CNG design.
- Manage projects including planning, scheduling, design, testing and product release.
- Support sales, provide technical expertise and support for clients, sales and ops team.
- Developing and keeping up-to-date the engineering specifications, and design systems in conformance with applicable codes and standards.
- Responsible for building and leading the Engineering team, including hiring, performance management and terminations.
- Design, build, support of custom CNG equipment and corresponding facilities.
- Lead all troubleshooting and RCA activities.
- Keep aprised of new CNG technologies and strategies, as well as develop or possess in depth knowledge of CNG operations.
- Liase with all critical suppliers. Work with VP Power Solutions with all supplier related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to successfully build and manage a team.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure when required will be an asset.
- Skilled in professional communication and presentations at all internal levels.
- Ability to project manage packaging & fabrication activites.
- Knowledge of piping design, ASME B31.3
- General knowledge of electrical, controls and heating systems.
- Knowledge of and skill in project management.
- Ability to analyze ideas and use logic to determine correct course of action.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities as well as wear many hats (manage, product design, project manager, sales, manufacturing).
- Skilled with Microsoft Office and experience with engineering software and databases.
- Ability to manage while maintaining a hands-on presence. This is a working manager position.
- Possess technical skills in engineering processes and methods.
Language Requirement
Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's in Engineering
Experience
5-10 years of Oil & Gas (Preferred) 2-4 years of Gas Facility Design & Construction and Packing, Fabrication & Controls (Required)
