Position Summary

This is an ONSITE position located in Alexandria, VA.

National Capitol Contracting is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in support of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The USPTO fosters innovation and economic growth by administering the nation's patent and trademark systems. This position performs business analysis, requirements management, functional analysis, and reporting activities supporting Microsoft 365 Collaboration Tools Services. The Functional Analyst Senior works with Government stakeholders to evaluate business processes, define functional requirements, develop reporting solutions, and recommend operational improvements.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Analyze business processes and operational requirements supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with Government stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Document functional requirements, workflows, business rules, use cases, and process improvements.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical products supporting operational decision making.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, user acceptance, and implementation of functional solutions.
  • Perform impact assessments and recommend process improvements supporting service delivery.
  • Develop functional documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guidance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, service desk, and project leadership to ensure successful implementation of business requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience performing business or functional analysis for enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting business processes.
  • Experience developing reports and supporting user acceptance testing.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience supporting Federal Government programs.

Compensation:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00
