Full description

Site Technical Manager is responsible for development, qualification and validation of SMT, final assembly, testing and packing (FATP) processes to support Amazon devices manufacturing at contract manufacturer site.

Key job responsibilities - Ensure technical readiness for product ramp and serve as manufacturing engineering owner for product PVT and mass production. - Drive manufacture test flow optimization, process and yield improvements to exceed our volume production goals. - Define the manufacture process qualification criteria, manage the qualification activities, and complete the documentation. - Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for all manufacturing process related issues, dive deep to analyze the problems found both in and out of the factory. - Manage DFM, line balancing, and plan process yield and capacity. - Work with CM’s engineering teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM and DFT principles. - Review and approve fixtures designs and qualification. - Review and execute Manufacturing Test Coverage Documents for new products launch. - Work with sustaining engineering team on the improvement opportunities, and manage the technical readiness of PRQ in CMs. - Periodically audit the CM for manufacture process quality management system.

About the team Global Manufacturing & Operation team manage our device product CMs (contract manufacturers) from both operation and manufacture engineering perspectives. Drive CM future capability expansion and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field - 6+ years’ experience in manufacturing and process engineering in consumer electronics. - Familiar with SMT and FATP processes. - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including experience in leading root cause analysis and driving corrective action. - Strong understanding of manufacturing and test processes, with the capability to translate into DFx recommendations. - Experience of collaborating with cross-functional and remote teams. - Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” with product and production equipment. - Excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation of complex data, in English (preferably fluent in oral Chinese).
