About the role

Are you ready to help us fine tune our Redshift + Airflow + DBT data platform while upgrading legacy components? If you are a builder with a tilt for future-proof solutions and an avid yet thoughtful AI user, we want to hear from you: we are looking for a talented data engineer to join our marketing acquisition team.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure for ingestion, orchestration, and transformation.
- Build and maintain Moneyfarm’s analytical data models, ensuring they are performant, scalable, and reliable.
- Contribute to implementation and deployment of machine learning and advanced analytics solutions.
- Reconcile vast amounts of raw data ingested from different sources into purposeful and meaningful aggregates.
- Work closely with Acquisition team data analyst, data scientist, software engineers, marketing specialist and product manager.
- Produce artifacts that can be consumed by both human agents and AI tools.
- Build a strong understanding of the marketing acquisition context and get obsessed about how to generate business value through data - if you expect to work in a technological silos, probably this role is not for you.
Background
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering roles
- BSc or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience in fintech / wealth management nice to have
Skills
- Deep proficiency in SQL and Python
- Deep proficiency with Airflow and DBT
- Strong experience with Redshift (BigQuery is a plus)
- Experience with AWS and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Familiarity with conversion tracking and digital marketing data stack is a strong plus (Adform, Adjust, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Rudderstack)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, also with non technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate business requirements into well-designed data solutions
- Comfortable working in iterative environments balancing quality and delivery
- Fluency in English is essential (most stakeholders are UK based).
We require to be in the office 2 times a week for team alignment.
It will be a freelance or fixed term contract 12 months.
