Responsibilities
As our DevOps Engineer, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes:
- Implement and manage development, testing, automation tools, and infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and manage containerised environments
- Oversee code release and deployment processes
- Identify, manage, and maintain both new and existing software engineering tools and infrastructure
- Design and develop automations to improve software engineering efficiency and reduce risk
- Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Solve interesting performance and architectural challenges
- Application scaling, performance management and metrics
- Mentoring and guiding other team members
Qualifications

- An unequivocal commitment to the Aussie values and using them to make decisions
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant industry experience
- A deep understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery; ideally using Gitlab
- Familiarity with static/dynamic application security testing
- Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation
- Experience managing and deploying Docker/Kubernetes environments
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Experience with creating and maintaining distributed systems and monolith applications
- PHP/Laravel experience highly regarded
- Golang experience highly regarded
- An understanding of one or more of Python, Java, & Javascript a definite bonus
- An understanding of the telco industry & networking technologies is well regarded
- Demonstrated ability to:
