About the Role:

As the Manager of Projects for Shipbuilding, you will take ownership of planning, executing, and delivering large-scale marine projects from inception to completion. Reporting to senior management, you will coordinate resources, manage budgets, and liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to align project objectives with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple shipbuilding projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
  • Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to ensure smooth progress and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and quality outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure clear communication, negotiate contracts, and resolve any conflicts.
  • Mentor and support project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the shipbuilding or marine engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, maritime regulations, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software such as Primavera P6 will be advantageous.
  • Ability to analyse risks, solve problems efficiently, and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
  • 5 Days Work Week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
