Role Purpose
To own and evolve the end-to-end digital ecosystem supporting a modern IFA business. The role sits at the intersection of advice technology, operations and client experience, with responsibility for connecting core systems —these include IFA back-office platforms, risk-profiling tools, cashflow-forecasting systems, advice engines, AI tooling and client and adviser-facing platforms.
The postholder owns the processes, data flows and user journeys across these systems, ensuring they are efficient, scalable and aligned to regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Chief Operations & Technology Officer, they also help shape and deliver next-generation digital products across compliance, adviser automation and client self-service.
Key Responsibilities
— Product ownership and strategy
- Own the digital product stack across advice, operations and client engagement — internally referred to as “the puzzle”.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligned to business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and scalability.
- Act as the bridge between business, technology and compliance.
— Process and data ownership
- Map, design and optimise end-to-end advice and servicing workflows.
- Own the data architecture and flow between systems (CRM, back office, risk tools, forecasting, platforms).
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and auditability across the advice journey.
- Reduce duplication and manual intervention across systems.
— Platform and system integration
- Manage integrations between back-office systems, risk profilers, cashflow-modelling tools, investment platforms and AI/advice engines.
- Work with the Chief Operations & Technology Officer (COTO) to design a connected, API-driven ecosystem.
- Evaluate and onboard new technology providers where needed.
— AI and automation
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled advice tools and workflows.
- Identify use cases across adviser productivity (fact-find, suitability, recommendations), compliance automation, and client interaction and servicing.
- Support the development of an AI-powered advice engine.
— Customer product development
- Help create digital products with the Chief Operations & Technology (COTO) focused on compliance tooling (file checking, audit trails, suitability support), adviser automation (workflow automation, recommendations, data capture) and client self-service (portals, onboarding, engagement tools).
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements and user stories.
- Support delivery from concept through to launch.
— Training and adoption
- Own and deliver system training and onboarding across the business.
- Ensure advisers and operations teams fully utilise digital tools.
- Create training materials, guides and best-practice frameworks.
- Drive user adoption and behavioural change.
— Stakeholder management
- Work closely with the COTO (operations, delivery and architecture), compliance teams, and advisers and paraplanners.
- Act as the central point of coordination for digital product initiatives.

- Knowledge of advice processes and regulatory requirements (FCA environment).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex processes into scalable digital solutions.

Renumeration and Reward

Base salary£60,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Discretionary bonusPerformance-related, linked to delivery milestones and business outcomes
