Summary: We are seeking a skilled MS SQL Server Administrator with 4+ years of experience in managing and supporting enterprise SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, backup & recovery, performance tuning, database maintenance, troubleshooting, security management, and high availability technologies. The role involves supporting business-critical production databases in a 24x7 environment while ensuring database availability, reliability, and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities: Database Administration Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 instances. Manage databases across Development, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments. Create and maintain databases, users, roles, and permissions. Perform database refreshes and environment cloning activities. Manage database growth, storage allocation, and capacity planning. Backup & Recovery Configure and monitor Full, Differential, and Transaction Log backups. Perform database restore and recovery activities during incidents and DR testing. Validate backup integrity and recovery readiness. Support DR exercises and recovery validation. Performance & Monitoring Monitor database health, availability, and performance. Identify and resolve blocking, deadlocks, long-running queries, and resource bottlenecks. Perform index maintenance, statistics updates, and database integrity checks. Analyze SQL Server CPU, memory, I/O, and wait statistics. High Availability & Disaster Recovery Administer and support: o Always On Availability Groups o SQL Failover Clusters o Log Shipping o Database Mirroring o Replication Participate in failover and failback testing activities. Security & Compliance Implement SQL Server security standards and access controls. Manage AD Integrated Authentication and SQL Logins. Review permissions and enforce least-privilege access. Support audit, compliance, and vulnerability remediation activities. Incident & Change Management Troubleshoot database incidents and service requests. Participate in major incident resolution and RCA activities. Execute production changes following ITIL processes. Maintain operational documentation and runbooks. Required Technical Skills Database Platforms Microsoft SQL Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 Azure SQL Database (Good to Have) Azure Managed Instance (Good to Have) Preferred Certifications Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) ITIL Foundation Certification

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Database Management. - Experience in database performance tuning and optimization. - Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for database systems. - Familiarity with database security best practices and access controls. - Ability to troubleshoot database connectivity and integrity issues. - Understanding of database replication and high availability concepts.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Database Management. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
