This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff UX Designer based in United States.
This is a senior design leadership role focused on shaping intuitive, high-quality digital experiences in the healthcare space. You’ll tackle complex and undefined problems, turning emerging opportunities into scalable, user-centered product experiences. The role combines strategic thinking, interaction and visual design expertise, rapid prototyping, and close collaboration with technical and data science teams. You’ll help introduce modern, consumer-level design standards to enterprise healthcare products while influencing the broader design organization. As a key member of the design leadership team, you’ll mentor designers, strengthen design systems, and champion design excellence across the organization. This is a remote-first opportunity for an experienced designer who enjoys fast-paced, outcome-driven environments and meaningful product challenges.

Accountabilities: As a Staff UX Designer, you’ll lead high-impact design initiatives across the product suite, bringing strategic vision and deep design expertise to complex challenges while helping establish stronger design practices throughout the organization.
- Lead the development of consumer-level experiences within enterprise healthcare products, raising the bar for interaction and visual design quality.
- Explore undefined problem spaces and develop innovative solutions to complex user and business challenges.
- Own large-scale design projects from early exploration through execution, using rapid prototyping and fast learning cycles to validate ideas and deliver scalable outcomes.
- Partner closely with senior engineering, product leadership, and data science teams to integrate sophisticated capabilities, including machine learning, into intuitive user experiences.
- Establish differentiated design approaches and introduce breakthrough experiences that elevate overall product quality.
- Make thoughtful, strategic design decisions while balancing user needs, business objectives, technical considerations, and long-term product vision.
- Champion design excellence and innovation across the organization, influencing cross-functional teams and setting standards for high-impact solutions.
- Contribute to and help evolve the design system by introducing next-generation patterns and retiring or improving outdated ones.
- Collaborate with other designers and product managers to integrate new design patterns and improvements into their workflows.
- Mentor and support other designers by sharing expertise, strengthening design capabilities, and encouraging strategic thinking.
- Continue leading exploratory initiatives with significant potential while balancing innovation work with the delivery of high-impact product projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an accomplished UX designer with deep expertise across multiple areas of design, strong strategic judgment, and a proven ability to operate autonomously with senior technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
- 7+ years of in-house design experience, including significant experience working independently with senior technical teams.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating advanced interaction and visual design expertise and a track record of delivering sophisticated, high-quality user experiences.
- Deep expertise in at least two core UX areas, such as research and strategy, system design, interaction design, or visual design, with strong capabilities across additional areas.
- Experience designing for complex systems and applications.
- Experience incorporating complex technologies or capabilities, such as machine learning, into user-centered product experiences.
- Strong strategic thinking and experience leading early-stage exploration projects with significant potential.
- Proven ability to manage and reconcile conflicting stakeholder feedback while maintaining cohesive and innovative design solutions.
- Experience contributing to and maintaining scalable, high-quality design systems.
- Strong understanding of modern interaction patterns, visual design principles, prototyping, and user-centered design.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Natural leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor designers and elevate team capabilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Healthcare experience is a plus but is not required.
