The Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands is looking for a self-motivated and adaptable Financial Analyst I to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Process, manage accounts payable.
- Maintain files and databases.
- Responsible for month and year end processing and closing.
- Provide backup coverage to payroll.
Qualifications
- Ability to ensure compliance with contract terms, policies and procedures, etc.
- Ability to use logic to analyze and identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.
- Skill and ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of principles, theories and practices of accounting.
- Knowledge of federal grant management and reporting.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and documentation.
- Ability to provide consultation and/or expert advice.
- Skill and ability to plan, organize and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
- Have the ability to collaborate and work closely with various business, IT and management teams.
- Detail oriented and meticulous in their work.
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or another related subject or least 5 years of experience in a related field.
