Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Warehousing Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of warehousing and distribution projects ranging from $100,000 to $2 million in scope. This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about driving operational excellence across the supply chain.
As a key member of our Project Management team, you will own projects from initial scoping through implementation and close-out, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end project management for warehousing and distribution initiatives, including facility design, material handling systems, automation integration, and process improvements
· Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for projects ranging from $100K to $2M
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
· Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
· Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues that could impact scope, timeline, or budget
· Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including bid review and performance oversight
· Prepare and present regular project status updates, financial reports, and executive summaries to leadership and customers
· Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and warehousing operations
· Support post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions to inform future project planning
Required Qualifications
· 5–10 years of project management experience within supply chain, warehousing, distribution, or logistics environments
· Demonstrated success managing projects with budgets ranging from $250,000 to $2 million
· Strong understanding of warehouse design principles, material handling equipment, and conveyor/automation systems
· Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
· Strong financial acumen, including budget development, forecasting, and cost control
· Working knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI/PMBOK, Agile, or similar)
· Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and MS Office Suite
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· Ability to travel up to 50-70% depending on project phase.
· Must be able to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
· Experience with conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), or warehouse control systems (WCS/WMS)
· Background in industrial engineering or facilities design
· Experience working directly with customers on capital equipment or infrastructure projects
