About The Role
The Technical Writer owns documentation across Volta's platform — turning complex infrastructure and APIs into clear, accurate content that customers and internal teams can actually use. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to document Volta's platform as it evolves.
This is a chance to shape how Volta communicates technically from an early stage — setting the standards for clarity that scale as the platform and customer base grow.
What You Will Be Doing
- Write and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation for Volta's platform, APIs, and services
- Partner with product and engineering teams to understand new features and document them accurately
- Develop and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and templates
- Create onboarding guides, API references, and troubleshooting content for customers
- Review and edit technical content from engineering and product teams for clarity and consistency
- Identify documentation gaps and prioritise content updates as the platform evolves
- Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to continuously improve documentation
What You Bring
- Experience as a technical writer in a software, infrastructure, or developer tools environment
- Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Comfortable working closely with engineers to understand technical detail
- Experience with API documentation and developer-facing content
- Organised and self-directed, able to manage multiple documentation projects
