How you’ll make an impact

As a Senior Technical Analyst, Data, you’ll help strengthen FCC’s data engineering capability by supporting the systems, pipelines and integrations that move trusted information across the organization. Your work will help teams turn business needs into reliable data solutions, improve how data is accessed and used, and support better decision-making through stable, scalable and well-designed technology.

Working closely with data engineers, data architects, product teams and business stakeholders, you’ll analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications and contribute to solutions involving SQL, ETL, data warehousing, batch processing and cloud-based data services. You’ll bring structure to complex problems, support production data pipelines, troubleshoot issues and help ensure data solutions are reliable, supportable and aligned to FCC’s evolving technology environment.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into clear specifications that support data solution design, development and implementation
  • Support data engineers, data developers and data architects by contributing technical analysis to data-related work items, user stories and delivery priorities
  • Design, build, monitor and support data pipelines, integrations and batch processing solutions that improve the reliability and usability of enterprise data
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues, identify root causes and recommend practical solutions that support stable production systems and effective decision-making
  • Help improve tools, standards and practices in an Agile, fast-paced IT environment, with a focus on automation, process improvement and long-term supportability
  • Collaborate with product teams, architects, vendors and stakeholders to support technology evolution, resolve architectural concerns and improve data solution outcomes
  • Provide informal technical leadership by sharing knowledge, supporting peers and contributing to stronger data engineering practices across the team

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or business
  • Minimum six years of experience in technology enablement (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Demonstrated expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data and analytics services such as Glue, Redshift, Lambda, S3, Step Functions and QuickSight
  • Experience troubleshooting, monitoring and supporting production data pipelines and cloud-based solutions
  • Proven ability to identify root causes, resolve complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

  • AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-native data architectures and modern analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automation frameworks
  • Experience building reporting and visualization solutions using QuickSight, Power BI or similar technologies
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics or intelligent automation solutions
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms serving multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Experience developing standards, governance processes and technical best practices for data teams
