It's an opportunity to use your financial expertise, analytical skills, and curiosity to help leaders make informed decisions that support patients, teams, and the future of healthcare.

As a Financial Analyst, you'll partner with leaders across the organization to understand what the numbers are telling us, uncover opportunities, explain trends, and provide the information needed to make smart operational and financial decisions.

YOUR EVERYDAY

📊 Turn Data Into Decisions

  • Analyze current operations and financial performance to support business objectives.
  • Develop financial feasibility analyses for new programs, contracts, and initiatives.
  • Research financial trends and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable information.

🤝 Be a Partner to Leaders

Your work will help department leaders understand their financial performance and make informed decisions.

  • Develop and maintain meaningful financial and responsibility reports.
  • Generate monthly financial reports in accordance with the close schedule.
  • Partner with department leaders to investigate revenue and expense fluctuations.
  • Provide clear explanations and insights into monthly financial results.
  • Create ad hoc reports and analyses using various reporting systems, including IFS.
  • Compile inpatient and outpatient units of service for selected patient-service cost centers.
  • Maintain appropriate financial and operational databases.

🎯 Help Plan What's Next

You'll support the annual budgeting process by:

  • Collecting and entering budget data into reporting systems.
  • Developing reports and financial analyses to support budget planning.
  • Modeling financial performance using different assumptions and scenarios.
  • Analyzing General Ledger and other financial data.
  • Partnering with department directors as they prepare their annual budgets.

📈 Make the Numbers Meaningful

You'll help leadership see the bigger picture by compiling and analyzing key performance information.

  • Compile statistical reports and Key Operating Indicators.
  • Analyze financial ratios and operational metrics.
  • Prepare information for presentation to senior leadership.
  • Help turn data into a clear picture of organizational performance.

🔎 Be Curious. Ask Questions. Find Answers.

The best analysts don't just report what happened — they want to understand why it happened.

You'll have opportunities to investigate trends, research variances, develop solutions, and contribute to special projects that expand your understanding of hospital operations.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational surveys.
  • Participate in special projects that support organizational goals.
  • Step in to support team members and gain exposure to different areas of financial operations.
  • Continuously build your knowledge of healthcare finance and hospital operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data but also knows that the story behind the numbers matters.

Required Experience

  • 2 years of experience in data manipulation, financial analysis, or a related analytical field.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Systems Management, Finance, Accounting, or another related field.
