Groupe Marcelle is currently seeking a Data Analytics and Automation Analyst for a permanent full-time position.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the successful candidate will contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our data and automation solutions. They will participate in the development of data pipelines, the integration of new data sources, the enhancement of our data warehouse, and the automation of business processes using SQL, Python, and automation technologies.

This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our automation capabilities through emerging artificial intelligence approaches, including the potential development of intelligent workflows and AI agents.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes supporting our analytics environment
  • Develop SQL queries to extract, transform, integrate, and validate data from various sources
  • Use Python for data manipulation, script development, system integration, and process automation
  • Participate in the integration of new internal and external data sources into our data environment
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of our data warehouse, including fact tables, dimensions, business rules, and integration processes
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance business process automation solutions to reduce manual tasks, improve operational reliability, and increase team efficiency
  • Analyze existing processes and identify automation opportunities using the technologies and approaches best suited to business needs
  • Collaborate with Finance and various business units to understand their processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop tailored solutions
  • Contribute to the evolution of our automation strategy and progressively explore the use of generative artificial intelligence and AI agents to automate certain business processes
  • Participate in the development of solutions that enable system integration through APIs and other data exchange mechanisms
  • Perform analyses and validations to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
  • Participate in identifying and resolving issues related to data, interfaces, and automated processes
  • Implement or enhance monitoring, logging, and control mechanisms to ensure the reliability of automated processes
  • Collaborate with the BI team to maintain the data ecosystem supporting the organization's analytics and reporting solutions
  • Document data pipelines, scripts, automations, business rules, and developed solutions
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in data engineering, automation, and artificial intelligence, and recommend improvement opportunities aligned with organizational needs

WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in data development, data integration, business intelligence, automation, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to develop and optimize queries on relational databases
  • Solid knowledge of Python, particularly for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
  • Good understanding of database concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration and transformation
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or another relational database platform
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and data exchange formats such as JSON
  • Strong interest in process automation and leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of Git or another version control system is considered an asset
  • Experience with a process automation platform or automation tools is considered an asset
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, generative artificial intelligence, LLM APIs, AI workflows, or AI agents is considered an asset
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos Analytics, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is considered an asset
