Sr. Software Developer (Java Backend) - 1 Year Contract

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Distributed Systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable backend applications and APIs within a cloud-native environment. This role requires hands-on experience with modern software development practices, production troubleshooting, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support scalable microservices and RESTful APIs in a distributed systems architecture.
• Design and implement service-to-service communication patterns, error handling mechanisms, and resilient application architectures.
• Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs for internal and external system integrations.
• Work with Kafka-based event-driven architectures, including publishing and consuming events, monitoring message processing, and troubleshooting integration issues.
• Design and optimize Cassandra data models, queries, and database structures to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Deploy, configure, and support applications running in Kubernetes environments using Helm charts and deployment configurations.
• Monitor application health, analyze logs, and troubleshoot production and non-production issues across multiple services and environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards, design principles, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Manage application configurations and environment-specific deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience using Java.
