Oversees, manages, and coordinates all operational aspects of ongoing department‑level projects with significant impact across multiple organizations. Serves as liaison between the project team and the broader organization, ensuring alignment, communication, and successful execution.
Functions
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects: planning, implementation, monitoring, completion, and follow‑up.
- Manage competing timelines and prioritize critical tasks.
- Establish and achieve project standards for work quality and quantity.
- Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet scientific, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals.
- Maintain and track project budgets.
- Negotiate and reconcile resource usage for projects.
- Identify and anticipate schedule slips or changes; analyze cost and resource impacts.
- Maintain the master project plan and schedule for assigned projects.
- Recommend and develop operational or process improvements to enhance project team performance.
- Liaise with Management, Department Heads, Leaders, and satellite team members to gather input and feedback on project benefits, needs, and issues.
- Ensure project goals and objectives are well understood across functional areas.
- Provide senior management and department heads with project management support as needed, including special projects.
- Participate in required meetings, interdepartmental activities, and related initiatives.
- Develop and implement tools, techniques, and processes to enable informed decision‑making within teams.
- Actively participate in defining the evolution and role of the project.
- Assist in technical, financial, and organizational issues by researching topics, providing recommendations, and maintaining document archives.
- Generate periodic updates and prepare formal presentations for required forums.
- Generate individual and complex reports using various resources.
- Ensure project work complies with domestic (and potentially international) regulatory requirements and approved guidelines.
- Ensure project work complies with practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Anticipate resource needs and communicate them to management sponsors.
- May manage and direct activities of project support staff.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide career counseling and general guidance.
- Identify or lead focus‑area projects within the broader project management function.

- Doctorate + 2 years of Project Management experience OR
- Master’s + 4 years of Project Management experience OR
- Bachelor’s + 6 years of Project Management experience OR
- Associate’s + 10 years of Project Management experience OR
- High School/GED + 12 years of Project Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in change control management, project controls, and capital projects.
- Experience developing and managing integrated project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, budgets, and governance processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading NPI, technology transfer, process development, lifecycle management, or commercialization programs.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional projects from business case development through execution and product launch.
- Process validation background supporting the required qualifications.
