Your role at Hostinger

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager with deep frontend expertise and a passion for fast, measurable impact. In this role, you will own the engineering behind Hostinger’s landing pages and content platforms - the frontend-heavy surface that millions of visitors across 150 countries hit first, and that directly drives acquisition and conversion - leading a team of exceptional developers.

What You Will Do:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end process, from architecture and design to development, deployment, and continuous operation of solutions crafted by your team of developers.
  • Lead, grow, and hire the team: meaningful 1:1s, growth plans, regular performance evaluations and constructive feedback sessions - while keeping the hiring bar high by interviewing candidates yourself.
  • Actively participate in planning, estimation, and roadmap discussions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product, Product Managers, Tech-Lead, and Marketing to facilitate the timely delivery of initiatives, emphasizing a balance between innovation and efficiency.
  • Own delivery discipline: predictable execution, fast release cycles (preview environments, CI/CD), and a backlog that shrinks instead of grows.
  • Drive web performance and technical SEO as first-class engineering goals - Core Web Vitals, edge caching, SSR/hreflang for 30+ locales, code splitting, lazy hydration.
  • Run experimentation together with product and marketing: A/B testing infrastructure, analytics (GA4/Amplitude), and CRO work measured in conversion - not story points.
  • Assume responsibility for the stability and reliability of the product, implementing observability measures (Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana) to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to efficient code engineering practices and maintaining a high standard of code quality - and stay hands-on in the codebase yourself.
  • Accelerate AI adoption in the team: agentic coding workflows, AI-assisted tooling, and LLM-powered product features, drive Websites AI-readiness initiatives forward.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and knowledge sharing, leveraging the diverse skills within the team.

Your skills and experience

  • You are a self-starter who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Leadership experience, either as a team lead or manager - hiring, mentoring, and performance management included.
  • A track record of improving team delivery: throughput, predictability, or time-to-ship on a previous team.
  • Experience with high-traffic, multi-locale consumer web products - landing pages, website builders, e-commerce, or content platforms.
  • Extensive JavaScript/TypeScript experience and strong knowledge of at least one modern framework (bonus points for Vue and Nuxt with SSR).
  • Strong understanding of app state management (Redux, NgRx, bonus points for Vuex and Pinia).
  • Fluency in web performance (Core Web Vitals), technical SEO, and analytics/experimentation tooling (GA4, Amplitude, A/B testing).
  • Strong understanding and experience in designing system architectures.
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and the Git versioning system.
  • Understanding of proper code design, unit testing, and end-to-end testing practices and tools.
  • Hands-on daily use of AI/agentic engineering tools and eagerness to spread those practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Business-impact mindset - you talk in conversion, revenue, and user outcomes.
  • Team-spirited, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • “Embracing the unknown” is a concept that doesn’t intimidate you.
  • Bonus: backend/full-stack competence (Node.js/NestJS), infrastructure literacy (Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP/AWS, Cloudflare), or experience building LLM-powered features.

Benefits for you

  • 🚀 360 Growth: We provide limitless learning opportunities: access to platforms like Reforge and CoachHub, global conferences, physical and digital libraries, feedback culture, and mentoring through TesoXchange. Advance your career with internal mobility and grow with a team eager to share knowledge and support your success.

  • 💪 Wellness simplified: Your health comes first with insurance from Day 1, gym memberships, recharge leave, Headspace subscriptions, and regular health checks. Enjoy access to the Žalgiris Arena VIP Lounge and celebrate life’s big moments with milestone gifts for weddings, new parenthood, and graduations.

Compensation

  • Gross salary starting from 7000 EUR/month (depends on your skills and experience).

We’re always looking for experienced talent to raise the bar. If you’re excited about the role but the listed salary range doesn’t align with your expectations, we still encourage you to apply - we’re open to adjusting compensation based on the impact and value you bring.
