About the Role

Reporting to the ERP Manager, the Business Analyst will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role will analyze business processes, define requirements, support Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) initiatives, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimization, automation, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. The Business Analyst will help deliver scalable, compliant solutions that support SNDL’s business objectives and digital transformation strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, assess user needs, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend system enhancements that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement workflow automation, system integrations, and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions.
  • Apply Dynamics 365 F&O knowledge to recommend solutions, answer process questions, and support application changes.
  • Document business requirements, functional designs, process flows, current and future states, gaps, training materials, and end-user documentation.
  • Own key ERP processes and provide functional expertise to ensure solutions are implemented efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement ERP enhancements, configuration changes, reports, and integrations that support business needs.
  • Create and execute test plans to validate implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to end users and internal support teams through documentation and formal sessions.
  • Support production issue resolution in partnership with business operations and technical teams, escalating issues when leadership involvement is required.
  • Support SOX compliance by following application security and change management policies and providing audit evidence when requested.
  • Support special projects and other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in computing, finance, business analysis, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional Lead or Business Analyst, including 3+ years working directly with Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing and supply chain experience in Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps.
  • Experience participating in a Dynamics 365 F&O implementation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance methodology.
  • Experience implementing, optimizing, and supporting ERP functionality in a medium to large multi-location organization.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio, is an asset.
  • Experience identifying automation opportunities using workflow automation, AI, or RPA technologies is an asset.
  • A business analysis certification or designation is a strong asset.
