Overview
cyDaptiv Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Security System (ESS) Engineer to provide engineering expertise and technical leadership for Electronic Security System products and solutions. The Senior ESS Engineer will support the design, integration, installation, and implementation of security technologies, including intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance, and associated equipment and software.
This position is contingent upon cyDaptiv Solutions being awarded the applicable contract. Employment for this role will be dependent upon contract award and Government approval, as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level engineering support for Electronic Security System products, solutions, and projects.
- Support the design, integration, installation, configuration, testing, and implementation of ESS technologies.
- Provide technical expertise related to intrusion detection systems, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and associated equipment and software.
- Review ESS designs, drawings, specifications, equipment selections, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate existing security systems and recommend upgrades, replacements, or improvements based on operational and technical requirements.
- Support system integration between ESS components, networks, software platforms, and other applicable infrastructure.
- Provide technical oversight during system installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
- Troubleshoot complex ESS hardware, software, connectivity, and integration issues.
- Ensure ESS solutions comply with applicable Government requirements, technical standards, cybersecurity requirements, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, installers, vendors, subcontractors, and Government stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, technical reports, test procedures, configuration records, and other required project documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, site assessments, and customer presentations.
- Represent cyDaptiv Solutions professionally in technical discussions with Government customers and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Electronic Security System engineering and installation.
- Demonstrated experience within the project’s functional area.
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance, and related ESS technologies.
- Experience with ESS equipment, software, system integration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, system diagrams, and contract requirements.
- Strong understanding of system integration and the interaction between physical security technologies and supporting IT/network infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to Government customers, project leadership, vendors, and technical personnel.
