Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.

Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.

ABOUT THE ROLE The primary purpose of the Data Integration Analyst role is to support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation's Microsoft Fabric data platform and enterprise data integrations. Working as part of the Applications & AV team, you will build and support data pipelines, maintain the organisation's Lakehouse environment, and integrate data from a range of business systems to enable reporting, analytics and business insights. You will also contribute to a variety of business technology initiatives, helping to deliver reliable, secure and scalable data solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization.

ABOUT YOU You are a collaborative and solutions-focused data professional with experience developing and supporting data integration solutions within complex technology environments. You have strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures, with the ability to integrate data across multiple business systems. You are an analytical problem solver who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering reliable, scalable data solutions. You have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting data integration solutions, ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data integrations.
  • Strong SQL Server skills, including writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
  • Experience integrating data across multiple business systems using APIs, databases or other integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, modern data architectures and source control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
