Full description

We are looking for a QA Tester to join a technical team in Malta, supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.

This role would suit someone with a solid foundation in software testing who enjoys investigating how applications behave, identifying issues and working closely with technical colleagues to improve the overall user experience.

You'll have the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment where attention to detail, analytical thinking and a structured approach to testing are highly valued.

Tasks

  • Carry out manual testing of software applications and new functionality.
  • Prepare and execute test scenarios based on functional requirements.
  • Create, update and maintain clear test cases and testing documentation.
  • Identify, investigate and document defects, ensuring issues are properly tracked through to resolution.
  • Perform regression and functional testing when new features or changes are introduced.
  • Work closely with developers and other technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve identified issues.
  • Help ensure that software releases meet expected quality standards.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes and identifying opportunities to make QA activities more effective.
  • Use appropriate testing and issue-tracking tools as part of the daily QA process.

Requirements

  • Previous professional experience in QA or software testing, with at least one year of practical exposure to test execution
  • Comfortable using Jira for managing and tracking testing activities and issues.
  • Working knowledge of the .NET Framework, ideally gained through at least one year of professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Good understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to identifying issues.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective testing scenarios.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills when working with technical teams.
  • Previous exposure to automated testing tools would be considered an advantage
