Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a dynamic DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and improving infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring robust monitoring and troubleshooting. As a bridge between development and operations, the DevOps Engineer will enhance collaboration and communication, integrating security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

**Please note this role is hybrid out of our Santa Clara, CA office two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of our multiple production systems.
- Facilitate cross-functional development and provide high-level service and support on our development and high-volume production systems.
- Provision and manage infrastructure, utilizing IaC tools for automation and configuration.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Monitor the health and performance of IT infrastructure and applications, identifying and addressing issues to ensure optimal operations
- Foster communication and collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Manage version control and configuration using tools like GitHub, Puppet, and Chef.
- Integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Engage with containerization technologies and cloud-native solutions to enhance deployment strategies.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure services.
- Proficiency in managing AWS environments and an in-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS management, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Expertise in troubleshooting tools and experience with SSL Certificates in Apache stacks.
- Familiarity with server virtualization and monitoring tools.
- Competence in scripting and automation with Python, Ruby, or Bash/TCsh shell.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
For Califonia applicants: The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives.
