📩  Job Title: Executive of Operations (Banking & Rails)

📍  Location: Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid)

Support the Banking and Rails team in ensuring clients have a seamless experience using APA payment services. Assist with the day-to-day administration of banking partner relationships and onboarding processing, working under the close guidance of the Team Lead and Operations Management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Banking Partner Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks that support relationships with banking partners, correspondent banks, and financial institutions, helping ensure smooth operational activities.
  • Onboarding Coordination: Support the onboarding process for new banking partners, including collecting documents, updating trackers, and following up on outstanding requirements under the Team Lead's direction.
  • Due Diligence Support: Help gather and organize required KYC, KYB, and AML/CFT documentation from banking partners, working with guidance from Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams.
  • Account Setup Assistance: Assist with basic administrative tasks related to bank account setup, settlement arrangements, and payment channels by coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner Communication: Handle routine, day-to-day correspondence with banking partners on straightforward inquiries and requests, escalating more complex matters to the Team Lead.
  • Operational Issue Support: Help track and log banking partner-related issues such as payment delays or account queries, and escalate these to the Team Lead for resolution.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Assist Operations, Treasury, Compliance, and other teams with onboarding-related tasks as directed.
  • Documentation & Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of banking partner information, onboarding documents, and account details in internal systems.
  • Reporting & Administrative Support: Help prepare status updates, onboarding trackers, and meeting materials relating to banking partnerships, under the Team Lead's supervision.
  • Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Carry out onboarding and administrative tasks in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, escalating any concerns to the Team Lead.
  • VIBAN Application: Assist with preparing and submitting virtual IBAN (VIBAN) applications for clients and banking partners, tracking application status, and following up with banking partners on outstanding requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or diploma with relevant experience) in business, finance, or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • 0-1 year of experience in a client support, customer service, or administrative role; prior exposure to the payments or banking industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to work night shift (4PM to 1AM) with flexible scheduling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Basic understanding of payment processing and payment gateways; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Familiarity with foreign exchange concepts is an advantage but not required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese, including Mandarin, is preferable.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving instincts.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset.Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
