POSITION SUMMARY:

The Data Insights Analyst analyzes complex business problems that may be solved or optimized with technology by participating in each stage of report development and in cross-functional project teams to address business or reporting needs. The Data Insights Analyst acts as a liaison between business owners, work groups and technical teams in identifying, evaluating, and developing reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of customer needs from a business and technical perspective
  • Maintains working knowledge of the Company’s reporting capabilities to maximize system efficiencies
  • Conducts analysis, design, evaluation, testing and implementation of client and internal reports
  • Conducts annual reviews of client and internal report subscriptions to ensure current reporting needs are being met
  • Develop strategic (annual) client account plans and retention initiatives
  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Distinguishes actual business needs and adheres to prescribed methods for obtaining solutions
  • Identifies the root cause of problems and creates logical and innovative solutions, along with program changes or solutions for recurring gaps
  • Works closely with assigned groups to define project scope and business requirements and sees them through implementation
  • Acts as a liaison between the business users and technical systems groups
  • Helps build business knowledge within Reporting Services and helps educate business users on Altair’s reporting capabilities
  • Analyzes and prioritizes reporting ticketing system
  • Works on complex issues/projects where analysis techniques are used
  • Participates in ad hoc projects, non-routine assignments, and report management meetings as requested
  • Coordinates meeting dates, reviews reporting, and prepares Quarterly, Mid-Year and Annual business review dates and materials

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, advanced studies or equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two years of progressive experience in relocation management or adjacent industry
  • Experience working with technical teams to achieve expected business goals
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to the business units, to make presentations to management and other personnel, and to conduct meetings and training sessions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients to help them achieve business goals and/or process efficiencies
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and SQL
  • Analytical with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

WORK/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

Office setting and/or home office work environment. Team member must be able to operate standard office equipment. Team member spends substantial amount of time working on the computer, on the phone and working under deadlines.
