Senior Engineer, React Native

Accountabilities: As a senior mobile engineer, you will own the development lifecycle of a mobile platform, from architecture and implementation through deployment and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with product, customers, and engineering teams to create reliable, scalable, and intuitive mobile experiences.

• Own the mobile application end-to-end, leading feature development, technical decisions, maintenance, and production releases.

• Define and evolve the architecture of a greenfield React Native application while helping establish long-term technical direction.

• Build and maintain a React Native SDK, including native modules that connect with iOS and Android scanning capabilities.

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality mobile features across platforms.

• Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to understand workflows, identify opportunities, and translate needs into effective product solutions.

• Collaborate with product teams to evaluate requirements, provide technical guidance, estimate timelines, and recommend practical solutions.

• Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs, third-party services, and supporting technologies across the product ecosystem.

• Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality improvements, and scalable development processes.

• Use data, customer feedback, and technical insights to continuously improve product performance and usability.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior mobile engineer with strong React Native expertise, a product-oriented mindset, and the ability to independently drive technical initiatives. You should be comfortable balancing engineering decisions with customer needs and business priorities.

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production React Native applications for iOS and Android.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience publishing and maintaining applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Solid understanding of REST APIs and mobile application integrations.

• Experience using AI-powered coding tools to improve development efficiency.

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently manage projects from concept to production.

• Ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate technical decisions clearly.

• Comfortable collaborating directly with customers and translating feedback into product improvements.

• Experience working effectively in small, fast-moving teams with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing native modules or TurboModules using Swift or Kotlin.

• Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations.

• Experience working across the full stack, including Ruby on Rails or similar backend technologies.

• Exposure to GraphQL.

• Experience building B2B SaaS products.

• Ability to ask thoughtful questions and simplify complex technical challenges.
