SALFO & Associates SA is an international Engineering & Management Consulting firm with over 30 years of experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure and development projects. Our services span project and construction management, infrastructure planning and design, technical consultancy and digital solutions, working with public authorities, international institutions and private clients across all phases of project delivery.

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the technical and managerial aspects of major buildings and infrastructure projects. The role combines team leadership, technical review, contract oversight, and quality management, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate contractors’ plans, schedules, methodologies, and technical strategies for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with Greek Public Works Law (4412/2016, 3669/2008) and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare engineering monthly reports and other technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement in project procedures and implement best industry practices for the delivery of complex buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure that comprehensive project records are maintained, properly organized, and archived for compliance and future reference.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution and integration of project activities.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule, cost, technical, or operational impacts.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable laws, safety standards, quality requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet the required technical standards, specifications, and performance criteria.
  • Address technical challenges and collaborate with relevant teams to develop effective and practical solutions.
  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams.
  • Support effective coordination between the various technical disciplines and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of general professional experience, including at least 2 years in managerial positions on major building, infrastructure, or similar complex projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Greek Public Works Law (4412/2016, 3669/2008).
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and public authorities.
  • Ability to oversee complex technical and construction activities and provide strategic project oversight.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, contract administration, quality management, and construction processes.
