At MotivHealth, we're looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our IT team and help keep our industry leading technology platforms running smoothly. HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provide day-to-day support for internal systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Assist with user account setup, access management, and permissions across internal platforms and applications.
  • Support administration of Microsoft 365 and other SaaS applications, including basic user, license, and access management within Entra ID, Intune, and Outlook.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate more complex problems to senior IT staff.
  • Support maintenance of eligibility, claims, and benefit administration systems, ensuring uptime and data integrity.
  • Help maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements related to data security and system access.
  • Assist with patch management, software updates, and routine system maintenance.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes by provisioning and deprovisioning system access for employees.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge base.
  • Respond to internal help desk tickets and provide timely resolution or escalation.
  • Collaborate with IT, claims, and underwriting teams to support data integrity and system reliability.
  • Assist in backup and disaster recovery processes.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 2+ years of experience in a system administration, IT support, or help desk role (internships/relevant coursework considered).
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure, servers, and Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and administration (Entra ID, Intune, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and general comfort navigating and supporting cloud-based/SaaS applications.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell/Bash/Python) and familiarity with AI tools, with the motivation to find ways to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with data security principles, especially in a regulated industry (healthcare/insurance experience a plus).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn from more experienced IT staff.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft certifications such as SC-900/AB-900) preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional after-hours support.
