Full description
Software Tester (QA Analyst)
We are seeking a mid-level Software Tester (QA Analyst) to plan and execute manual and automated testing for modern web applications, including AI-enabled features. You will create and maintain test cases, validate new features and defect fixes, track defects through resolution, and partner with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders in an Agile (SAFe/Scrum) environment. This role includes automation using Selenium WebDriver and S7, API testing (Postman/SoapUI), SQL-based data validation, Section 508 accessibility testing (JAWS), and the use of AI-assisted testing approaches with GenAI-supported test design and analysis. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required.
What You Will Do
- Execute functional, smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for new features, enhancements, and defect fixes.
- Create and maintain clear test cases, lightweight test plans, and traceability to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Selenium WebDriver; contribute to a stable regression suite.
- Perform API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI; validate responses, error handling, and data integrity.
- Validate data and outcomes using SQL and other verification methods; ensure accuracy across UI, API, and database layers.
- Support Section 508 accessibility testing using JAWS and helps validate usability expectations.
- Test AI-enabled functionality (e.g., chat, summarization, intelligent search, recommendations) for quality, reliability, and user experience.
- Use AI-assisted testing responsibly (e.g., GenAI to brainstorm test ideas, create test data, and support defect analysis) while maintaining human review and accountability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations to identify risk areas (including role-based access, auditability, and sensitive data handling) and validate fixes.
- Log, document, and track defects; verify fixes and support release validation in Agile/SAFe ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of software testing/QA experience for enterprise web applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; SAFe experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, regression suites, and defect management.
- 3+ years of test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver (Selenium IDE is a plus) and Or Subject-7.
- API testing experience using Postman and/or SoapUI, plus basic SQL skills for data validation.
- Experience supporting Section 508 accessibility testing and using tools such as JAWS.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing concepts and responsible use of Generative AI to support test design and analysis.
- Experience with QA and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Confluence, or similar).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD-integrated testing, test reporting, and release validation.
- Experience coding/scripting (Java preferred) to support automation and test utilities.
- Performance/load testing exposure.
- Experience using AI-driven test automation, self-healing test tools, visual validation tools, or intelligent regression testing platforms.
- Hands-on experience testing AI-enabled user experiences (e.g., chat, summarization, intelligent search) including evaluation approaches such as rubrics, golden datasets, and prompt regression.
- Experience validating behavior involving role-based access, auditability, workflow controls, and sensitive or regulated data.
- Experience supporting testing in government or other compliance-driven environment.
