Second Foundation is a global energy trading company with around 500 employees across locations in Prague HQ (CZ), Zug (CH), Berlin (DE), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (JP). We specialize in trading in power markets and integrating and optimizing renewable energy and battery storage systems. We are actively expanding our own asset base, with a primary focus on battery storage.
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the development and delivery of energy infrastructure projects across Europe. This role is suitable for candidates with some initial experience; motivated fresh graduates with strong interest in energy infrastructure are also welcome to apply. You will work closely with senior team members on EPC projects, contributing to the successful delivery of renewable energy and battery storage investments.
What you would work on?
- Support senior project managers with day-to-day coordination of renewable energy and BESS projects.
- Help track project timelines, budgets, and key milestones.
- Assist with communication and coordination with EPC contractors, consultants, and local partners.
- Prepare project documentation, summaries, and presentations.
- Support technical reviews, feasibility checks, and due-diligence activities under guidance.
- Help monitor construction and commissioning progress and collect project updates.
- Assist with procurement processes and simple contract-related tasks from a project perspective.
What makes you a great candidate?
- Relevant degree in engineering, energy, construction management, economics, or a related field
- Strong interest in project management, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.
- Motivation to develop and grow project management skills in a hands-on environment (internships, student projects, or coursework are sufficient)
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working with multiple tasks at once.
- Willing to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Fluency in both English and Czech, other languages are a plus.
- Open to occasional travel within Europe (depending on availability).
