About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of finance team within Emerald Clinical. He/she plays a crucial role in financial planning and analysis, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making to support organizational goals.

The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the head of FP&A and works closely with key senior executives to create insights into the organization for growth and improvement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, annual budgets, and financial models to support strategic planning and business objectives.
  • Conduct financial, variance, scenario, and sensitivity analyses to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver accurate financial reports and insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate the financial viability and return on investment (ROI) of new projects and business initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals and improve business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting tools, and financial planning methodologies.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience, including at least 1 year in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with Salesforce, Certinia, or other reporting tools is preferred.
  • Experience in a global, regulated environment such as a CRO, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization is highly desirable.
