About The Role

Are you a technically capable Data Analyst who enjoys building reliable reporting, improving data quality and turning complex data into meaningful insights?

APG is seeking a technical Data Analyst to design, develop and maintain enterprise reporting, data models and analytical solutions that support business performance.

Reporting to the Head of IT Applications and Data, based out of Brendale, QLD, you will partner with the Business Analyst and stakeholders across the business to deliver accurate, scalable and timely data solutions.

You will play a key role in strengthening APG’s data governance, reporting standards and system capability.

You will:

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data models, semantic layers, Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and optimise SQL queries, views, DAX measures and data-transformation logic to deliver accurate, reliable reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders and the Business Analyst to translate business requirements, KPIs and data needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Maintain data quality, master-data governance and reporting consistency across APG systems.
  • Deliver forecasting tools, automated reporting and analytical solutions that support business performance.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations and implementations, including testing, validation and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify and deliver continuous-improvement opportunities across systems, reporting frameworks and business processes.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for data models, reporting logic and key calculations.

About You:

You will bring:

  • Experience in Technical Data Analysis, Business Intelligence development, reporting projects or system-improvement roles.
  • Strong capability in SQL, data modelling and data transformation.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, including DAX and semantic models.
  • An understanding of master data, data governance, data quality and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience working with ERP, warehouse management or operational business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and ability to work across multiple business functions.
