Location: 100% remote in LATAM (including Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru).
Contract Length: 1 year with opportunity for extension.
Contract Rate: $23-28 per hour in USD. Final rate will be determined based on relevant experience and overall fit for the position.
We are seeking a Data Governance & Quality Engineer specialized in implementing and operating data governance and quality platforms on Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) & Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). Able to integrate governance with privacy tooling (OneTrust), cataloging, and lineage, and to apply CLAIRE to accelerate the definition of quality rules, metadata classification, and policy documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the governance platform on CDGC and AXON.
- Data governance support, data standards, quality frameworks, data quality rules creation
- Configure and manage quality rules, policies, and stewardship workflows in CDQ/IDQ.
- Integrate the catalog with source systems (databases, ERP, CRM, cloud storage, Databricks) through scanners and catalog sources.
- Govern the Databricks Lakehouse by aligning Unity Catalog lineage and classification with CDGC.
- Collaborate with data owners and business stakeholders to define standards and quality requirements.
- Ensure traceability, end-to-end lineage, and regulatory compliance of data assets.
- Apply CLAIRE to accelerate rule definition and metadata classification.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica CDGC and CDQ or IDQ.
- Experience with data catalogs, metadata, data classification, and lineage.
- Experience creating and monitoring data quality rules, profiling, and scorecards.
- Knowledge of business glossaries, data stewardship, governance policies, and standards.
- Experience connecting governance tools to databases, cloud platforms, or business systems.
- Strong collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of data privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Relevant Informatica CDGC or IDMC certification.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with AXON and AXON-to-CDGC modernization.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Lakehouse governance.
- Familiarity with Informatica CLAIRE.
- Exposure to tools such as OneTrust, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Monte Carlo.
- Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK and GDPR.
- Additional data governance, Databricks, or Azure certification.
Required Equipment: This role requires the use of a personal laptop. Candidates must be comfortable with company security software and device management tools being installed on their laptop as part of the onboarding process and for the duration of the engagement.
