Full description
Company Description
TurnCare is transforming how hospitals manage mobility, pressure injury prevention, and patient recovery through the Guardian System — a technology-enabled patient management solution that combines innovative therapy with actionable data and insights.
As we scale, we're building a more data-driven organization — one where decisions are grounded in a clear understanding of what is happening, why it is happening, where the greatest opportunities exist, and what we should do next.
Role Description
We're looking for a Business Insights & Analytics Analyst who can turn complex business and clinical data into clear insights that accelerate growth in a regulated, hospital-facing commercial environment.
This is a business insights role, not a traditional reporting or sales operations position. While you will support select operational needs — including territory planning and account-level performance analysis — your primary responsibility is to analyze the business, identify trends and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and give leadership the insights they need to make better decisions, faster.
You'll partner across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, Clinical, Product, and Operations to connect data from multiple sources — CRM, financial systems, clinical and utilization data, and market intelligence — into a holistic view of business performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable digging into a dataset, building a compelling visualization, and sitting with an executive to explain what the data means and what we should do about it.
What you'll do:
Business Insights & Strategic Analysis
- Analyze internal and external data to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, risks, and emerging patterns.
- Move beyond reporting results to answer “why,” “so what,” and “what should we do.”
- Develop analyses that inform strategic decisions across the business, from commercial planning to product and clinical strategy.
- Evaluate performance against goals and KPIs, and identify the underlying drivers of results.
- Develop hypotheses, test them through data, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Proactively surface the questions leadership should be asking — not just respond to requests for reports.
- Support high-priority strategic initiatives, business reviews, and executive decision-making through ad hoc analysis.
Commercial & Sales Analytics
- Analyze the full customer lifecycle — target, opportunity, pilot, launch, adoption, expansion — across hospital and health system accounts.
- Identify patterns in won and lost business, and the characteristics of high-performing accounts, territories, and opportunities.
- Analyze sales cycle, win rates, pipeline quality, and market segments to pinpoint the biggest drivers of growth.
- Evaluate account and market potential to help prioritize commercial resources and field coverage.
- Own recurring territory planning and account/area-level insights — the analytical backbone for how territories and coverage are structured, not a one-time exercise.
- Identify leading indicators of successful pilot adoption and account expansion.
- Partner with Commercial Excellence and Sales Leadership to improve forecasting accuracy, quota setting, and performance management through meaningful analysis, not just reporting numbers.
- Find opportunities to increase speed, scale, predictability, and productivity across the commercial organization.
Customer, Clinical & Account Insights
- Analyze customer behavior, product utilization, clinical adoption, engagement, and expansion patterns.
- Identify leading indicators of customer and account health, satisfaction, and churn risk.
- Compare successful and unsuccessful implementations to identify what actually drives the difference.
- Identify opportunities to improve retention, expansion, and long-term customer lifetime value.
- Connect utilization and outcomes data to commercial and strategic opportunities.
- Help quantify and communicate the clinical and economic value the Guardian platform generates for hospitals and patients.
Market, Competitive & Reimbursement Intelligence
- Integrate internal performance data with market and competitive intelligence.
- Analyze market size, account opportunity, competitive dynamics, and industry and reimbursement trends relevant to hospital purchasing decisions.
- Identify whitespace and underpenetrated market opportunities.
- Translate external market signals — regulatory, reimbursement, and competitive — into implications for TurnCare's growth strategy.
Data Visualization, Governance & Reporting Infrastructure
- Build executive-level dashboards and scorecards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Design visualizations that highlight drivers, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions — not just data.
- Maintain and improve key business metrics, definitions, and performance reporting to establish a single source of truth.
- Partner with Salesforce/CRM, Finance, and Data/IT to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and audit-ready, consistent with the data integrity standards expected in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Identify gaps in available data and recommend new sources, tools, or capabilities.
- Automate manual reporting wherever possible and develop self-service analytics while maintaining consistent definitions and governance.
- Document analytical methodologies and definitions to ensure consistency, transparency, and credibility.
What we're looking for:
Required Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6+ years of experience in business analytics, strategy, business intelligence, commercial analytics, consulting, finance, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with a data visualization platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar.
- Experience working with large or multiple datasets from disparate systems.
- Strong presentation and data storytelling skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, including sales, marketing, clinical, and executive leadership.
- Strong business judgment, commercial acumen, and curiosity.
- Ability to independently structure ambiguous business problems and determine what analysis is needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Experience in medical device, MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with hospital/health system commercial cycles — capital equipment, disposables, or SaaS-enabled device sales.
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM, including data governance and hygiene in a regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data privacy considerations (e.g., HIPAA) as they relate to business and utilization reporting.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, segmentation, or market/reimbursement analysis.
- Experience connecting multiple data sources into a holistic business view.
- Experience with automation tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, Python, or similar.
- Experience supporting executive-level strategy, business reviews, or board reporting.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
Salary Range:
- $120,000 – $175,000 annually
Travel Requirements:
- Travel required (10%)
