The Quality Engineer – After Market Solutions will be responsible for supporting the areas within the FPS Solutions team in complying with the applicable Quality Management System. Also responsible for supporting Quality Assurance initiatives, Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) activities, and investigations, always seeking continuous improvement across the applicable areas.

As a Quality Engineer – After Market Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage service non-conformities and ensure appropriate resolution and follow-up.
  • Manage supplier & intercompany non-conformities identified in customer products, supporting warranty-related claims with suppliers, as applicable.
  • Conduct internal and external audits in accordance with the audit program, including process audits.
  • Support root cause analysis of findings from internal and external audits, issue reports, and track corrective actions.
  • Monitor and address quality concerns and quality-related issues.
  • Lead root cause analyses in collaboration with Quality Engineering, using specific problem-solving tools, and defining corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor, control, and report Service Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, providing support and guidance for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage document review cycles and ensure Quality Management System documents remain current and valid.
  • Organize and facilitate quality meetings with the areas within the Solutions organization.
  • Lead Solutions Quality Management Review (QMR) meetings with applicable stakeholders, as well as support the development and execution of these QMRs.
  • Act as a change agent by promoting initiatives that strengthen the Quality culture across the organization.
  • Ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) values, as defined in company policies, are practiced by employees, suppliers, and contractors through the identification, monitoring, and control of significant environmental impacts and occupational risks, driven by leadership, training, commitment, and proactive behavior.
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures related to quality and operations. Report any non-conformities, concerns, or risks affecting products, processes, or services. Remain committed to quality objectives and continuously seek improvements in products, processes, and services.
  • Prepare and issue customer-facing reports, including ITPs, according to operational requirements.
  • Lead initiatives focused on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), with a particular emphasis on warranty-related costs.
  • Report the status of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives in both Portuguese and English.
  • Ensure that lessons learned from operations are properly documented, addressed, and communicated to relevant teams.
  • Manage communication with colleagues and business functions regarding approaches and methodologies for resolving complex problems.
  • Ensure that critical observations are properly documented and that significant concerns are identified and escalated to the appropriate levels within the organization.
  • Be a supporter of the Kaizen program in Solutions, driving continuous improvement across the business.

  • Have Bachelor’s degree (Engineering bachelor is required)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial environment as a Quality Engineer.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (preferred).

  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies and tools such as A3, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagram, FMEA, 5S, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously, identify issues effectively, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all activities.

Desired Technical Qualifications, Standards, and Certifications:

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
