Description

As Solution Architect – Cloud-Native & DevOps, you play a key role in shaping the digital future of our customers in the public sector and defence environment. You are responsible for designing and implementing modern cloud-native architectures and driving the adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps approaches.

  • You design cloud-native solution architectures based on Kubernetes for highly secure and regulated environments
  • You create technical solution designs as well as architecture and platform documentation (containers, storage, networking, observability)
  • You design CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (e.g. Flux, ArgoCD), especially for air-gapped and offline environments
  • You evaluate and integrate CNCF technologies and cloud-native components into existing platform architectures
  • You support the design of Kubernetes-based workloads including VM workloads (KubeVirt) and HPC/AI scenarios (GPU operator)
  • You create architecture and security documentation and support accreditation processes as well as BSI baseline security requirements
  • You contribute to reference architectures, deployment blueprints, and technical customer advisory during transformation projects

Requirements

You have solid experience as a Solution Architect in cloud-native and DevOps environments, including the implementation of complex Kubernetes-based platform solutions, ideally within the public sector or defence industry.

Furthermore, you are characterized by in-depth expertise and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and container orchestration (min. 3 years experience)
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies (Flux, ArgoCD)
  • Solid understanding of the CNCF ecosystem and modern cloud platform architectures
  • Experience in creating solution designs and technical architecture documentation
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane)
  • Understanding of network virtualization, SDN, CNI, and service mesh concepts
  • Experience in public sector or defence environments and knowledge of BSI baseline security standards
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL Foundation or higher)
  • Several years of experience (min. 3 years) in ITIL-based consulting and service design processes
  • At least 5 years of experience in public sector environments (federal ministries, agencies, subordinate authorities)
  • Native-level German and very good English skills in spoken and written communication
