The role:
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Transformation department in Bristol or London.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Transformation function that is helping shape the future of Simmons & Simmons. As the firm continues to invest in strategic change, technology modernisation and operational improvement, you will play a key role in delivering initiatives that create meaningful and lasting business impact.
Reporting into the PMO, the Project Manager will lead projects across a diverse portfolio of transformation, operational and technology initiatives. Working alongside business stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams, you will be responsible for translating ideas into deliverable plans and ensuring successful execution from initiation through to completion.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced project professional to broaden their exposure, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to a high-profile programme of change whilst developing their career within a newly established PMO.
What will you do:
- Deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables and success measures.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, budgets and resource forecasts.
- Coordinate project activities across business, technology and third-party teams.
- Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
- Produce high-quality project reporting and management information.
- Facilitate workshops, project boards and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage change requests and ensure appropriate governance and controls are followed.
- Support benefits tracking and post-implementation reviews.
- Build strong relationships with sponsors, stakeholders and project team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies, tools and best practices.

- The ability to build effective working relationships across a range of business and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within structured project governance frameworks.
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach to project delivery.
- A desire to learn, develop and grow within a transformation-focused environment.
- A professional project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
Career Level:
The career level assigned to this role is level 3. The career level framework provides a formal structure for the business services functions at the firm. The framework, which ranges from level 1 to level 7, clearly defines the responsibilities, skills and competencies required at each level.
