The Role
Are you passionate about using data to solve complex business problems and influence strategic decision-making? Fidelity's Electronic Trading team is seeking a highly analytical and technically oriented Business Analyst to support the growth and evolution of our electronic trading businesses. This role sits directly on the trading desk and operates at the intersection of trading, product management, technology, data analytics, and business strategy. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of how data moves through business and technology systems, can transform complex information into actionable insights, and is equally comfortable building a Tableau dashboard, developing a financial forecast, documenting business requirements, or leading a strategic initiative to completion.
Beyond analytics, this individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving stakeholders across trading, product, technology, operations, compliance, and business teams. The role requires someone who can identify business problems, gather and structure requirements, evaluate potential solutions, and drive execution from concept through implementation.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong analytical and technical skills with experience querying and analyzing data using SQL, Python, q, or similar tools
- Experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards and business intelligence solutions using multiple data sources
- Understanding of data flows, data transformation, data quality, and reporting frameworks
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable recommendations
- Experience developing KPI frameworks, executive scorecards, and business performance reporting
- Strong quantitative and financial skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and business case development
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into scalable solutions
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional projects involving business and technology stakeholders
- Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx, Jira, Confluence, or similar analytics and project management tools preferred
- Interest in electronic trading, financial markets, and market structure
The Team
Our Electronic Trading team develops innovative trading solutions that connect clients and business partners with high-quality execution opportunities. We operate at the intersection of trading, technology, product management, quantitative research, and business strategy.
This role provides a unique opportunity to sit directly on the trading desk and gain exposure to electronic trading, product development, business intelligence, and financial markets. Through a combination of analytics, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, you will help drive the growth and effectiveness of Fidelity's electronic trading businesses.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-120,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
