Job Description
Finance Analyst
Finance Analyst is a key strategic contributor responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial operations for the Human Health business and Representative Office (RO) in Hanoi. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury management, and internal control effectiveness in alignment with US GAAP, VAS, and Corporate standards. The position also plays a critical role in supporting commercial operations and cross-functional initiatives that drive business performance, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting (Account-to-Report - AtR):
- Ensure financial records and reporting comply with VAS, IFRS/US GAAP, and internal policies.
- Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and intercompany transactions in line with transfer pricing policies.
2. Expense Management & Business Partnering
- Analyze expense trends and provide strategic insights to optimize cost and investment decisions.
- Partner with Business Units, Business Support Center, and S&OP teams to align spending with business priorities.
- Strengthen internal controls and streamline payment processes through automation and process improvement.
- Support internal audits and drive continuous improvement in expense governance.
3. Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial controls and recommend enhancements.
- Maintain and improve internal control tools and dashboards.
- Develop and update finance-related SOPs in line with best practices and regulatory changes.
- Partner with Compliance and Commercial teams to identify and mitigate financial risks.
4. Tax Compliance & Advisory:
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare VAT, FCT, and CIT filings.
- Monitor tax regulation changes and assess business impact.
- Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation and support tax audits.
- Provide tax advisory support for contracts, transactions, and new business initiatives.
5. Strategic Projects & Ad-Hoc Support: Support finance-related projects (system upgrades, reporting enhancements, process simplification…)
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Business Partnering: Proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams to support decision-making.
- Compliance & Governance: Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and internal control principles.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Digital Fluency: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and internal controls within multinational environments.
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese accounting and tax regulations.
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Fluent in English; strong command of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
