We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction projects from contract award through final closeout.
The ideal candidate has proven experience managing projects involving commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related interior finishes. This role will oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, field operations, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through completion and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and execution strategies.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope documents to identify requirements and potential issues.
- Coordinate Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, labor productivity, billing, cost control, and profitability.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material, equipment, and long-lead-item procurement to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, general contractors, and internal teams.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays and cost impacts.
- Support field operations by ensuring crews have the necessary materials, information, and resources.
- Oversee punch-list completion, warranty items, project turnover, and final closeout.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial interior construction.
- Experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior finish projects is required.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Proven ability to manage projects from startup through final closeout.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, labor management, change orders, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and client relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
