What You Will Do

Sensors and Integrated Systems – Integrated Air Data Systems (IADS) Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer I to support continued growth within the product organization.  The Systems Engineer works in a focused, cross-functional team of engineers designing and developing aviation sensors and integrated systems.  This role interfaces with engineers and other integrated project team members to execute existing developments, troubleshoot technical issues with the broader engineering team, and support in-service products.  Your daily activities may include coordinating team technical decisions, writing and managing requirements, and communicating with leadership on project needs. Examples include:

  • Interacting with internal and external customers
  • Planning, documenting and managing product requirements
  • Participating in the new product design cycle with engineering teams, including design reviews
  • Providing technical suggestion to a cross-functional engineering team to ensure common understanding and provide a product design that meets customer needs
  • Supporting compliance to AS9100 and our Quality Management System, or other guidelines, for development project execution related to aircraft systems

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with DOORS, Polarion ALM, and MATLAB/Simulink/StateFlow strongly desired.
  • Background with research and development projects.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
