We are seeking an experienced Systems & Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our organization's technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for the administration of Windows servers, networking systems, virtualization platforms, cloud services, cybersecurity controls, and disaster recovery solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, strengthening security, improving reliability, and supporting end users in a mission-driven environment. Systems/Network Administrator Position Summary:
Provides technical support to agency network computer systems and its users. Protects our critical systems and assets, builds solutions, implements new software and hardware, provides training, and assists in developing the overall IT strategy. Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: maintaining hardware and software, procedures, and documentation; ensuring performance, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring of resources through problem-solving and testing. Responds to user requests pertaining to the agency’s network. Maintains documentation and knowledge of network activities and trends from both an industry and an agency perspective and acts upon that knowledge. Also support end users through day-to-day operations.
Expected pay rate for this position is $25.48 - $31.23 per hour based on candidate's qualifications.

Essential Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Minimum of four years of experience with Microsoft server operating systems, including Microsoft networking, Active Directory management, and Group Policy Management.
- Minimum of four years of experience with TCP/IP networking, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and firewall management.
- Minimum of four years of experience with virtualization.
- Minimum of four years of experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Experience supporting staff across departments and training non-technical users.
- Associate’s degree specializing in computer networked systems or a related field preferred.
- Experience with security administration, including patch management and access control, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and MySQL administration is a plus.
- Experience working directly with program teams and leadership is a plus.
General Requirements:• Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable daily transportation with adequate insurance coverage.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; STEP, Inc. is unable to sponsor visas.
- Able to work on-site.
- Flexibility to work altered and non-traditional work schedules as assigned is a plus.
