This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Product Designer (MANTL) based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of digital account opening for banks and credit unions across the U.S. You’ll design intuitive, scalable experiences that help customers open accounts with confidence while addressing complex business and user needs. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow designers, you’ll influence product strategy from discovery through delivery. You’ll contribute to a shared design system that promotes consistency, quality, and efficiency across the product experience. The role sits within a collaborative, agile environment that values research, thoughtful critique, iteration, and high-quality execution. You’ll have meaningful ownership over customer-facing experiences and the opportunity to ship products that create measurable impact. Accountabilities
- Design intuitive, scalable, and high-quality account-opening experiences for financial institutions and their customers.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define user problems, explore solutions, inform product strategy, and deliver research-backed experiences.
- Translate nuanced user and business needs into impactful product experiences using systems thinking and a strong understanding of the broader product ecosystem.
- Conduct, participate in, and synthesize user research, including contextual inquiry and evaluative research methods.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished product designs using modern design tools, with Figma preferred.
- Present design concepts and clearly communicate design decisions, rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to and expand the shared design system, ensuring consistent, accessible, and high-quality experiences across user touchpoints.
- Work as an embedded member of an Agile product development team and collaborate throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Ship products to market while maintaining a strong focus on usability, quality, scalability, and customer impact.
- Participate actively in design critiques and collaborative working sessions, fostering transparency and shared understanding across the design team.
- Explore AI-enabled design workflows and emerging tools to improve design quality, efficiency, and innovation.
- Take ownership of ambiguous and complex problems, proactively identifying opportunities and driving solutions through execution.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative design culture built around empathy, curiosity, continuous improvement, and high standards.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience designing high-quality digital applications, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating design process, outcomes, and impact.
- Experience designing products in financial technology or financial services is preferred; experience with loans or deposit products is a strong plus.
- Enterprise SaaS product design experience is also highly relevant.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern product design and prototyping software, particularly Figma.
- Experience using AI-enabled design workflows and an interest in emerging technologies and tools.
- Demonstrated experience taking products from design through successful market launch.
- Experience contributing to and working within shared design systems and component libraries.
- Experience conducting and synthesizing qualitative and evaluative user research.
- Experience working within Agile, cross-functional product teams alongside Product Managers and Engineers.
- Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex and ambiguous challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative, empathetic, and receptive to feedback, with a willingness to iterate and learn from others.
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership, initiative, persistence, and a bias toward action.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment while maintaining strong collaboration and communication.
- Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available for this position.
