The Senior Product and Training Manager will oversee the development, launch, lifecycle management, and training activities for the full portfolio of aftermarket auto parts. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive aftermarket industry, a strong technical background, and the ability to translate automotive aftermarket needs into successful products. The Senior Product and Training Manager will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, customers, and customer service teams to drive product success and achieve business objectives. The Senior Product and Training Manager will have Product Manager direct report(s) with potential expansion. This role will report to the Director of Sales, Product, and Strategy.

All the important tasks we'll trust you with:

  • Manage Product Strategies: Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps for aftermarket auto parts, aligning with the company's overall business goals from Market Research and management of life cycles.
  • Lead New Product Development: Evaluate market needs for product line extensions and new product line opportunities and confirm the launch of new products meet the forecast, performance, quality, and cost targets.
  • Go-to-Market: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and promotional plans. Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Customer Focus: Engage with customers, dealers, and distributors to gather feedback, understand pain points, and ensure products meet their needs. Address customer issues and concerns promptly.
  • Lead Support: Provide support to the sales team, including product information, competitive analysis, and key selling points. Assist in the development of sales tools and collateral.
  • Training: Lead internal and external product training via print, video, virtual, and in-person.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, including sales performance, warranty %, market share, and customer satisfaction of the Spectra Product Lines.
  • Budget Management: Manage the product development budget, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of Spectra Premium.

Your areas of strength and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, or related roles, preferably in the automotive or aftermarket parts industry.
  • Technical background with an understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Fluency in English and French is Preferred
  • Travel approximately 30%, including but not limited to Training Events, Trade & Industry Shows, and on-site customer meetings.
