Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Business Intelligence department as an Associate Business Intelligence Specialist. You will be responsible for supporting the collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting of business data to help drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

Qualus seeks a data professional who supports the collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting of business data to help drive informed decision-making. Working under the guidance of senior team members, their responsibilities will include:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret structured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Dashboard & Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI to communicate key performance metrics.
  • Data Preparation: Perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities to ensure data quality and readiness for reporting and analysis.
  • SQL Development: Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to retrieve, manipulate, and validate data from relational databases.
  • Business Intelligence Support: Assist in gathering business requirements, documenting reporting needs, and developing analytical solutions that address operational and strategic challenges.
  • Data Modeling: Support the development and maintenance of logical and physical data models that enable efficient reporting and analytics.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation including report specifications, data dictionaries, business definitions, and technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0–4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in at minimum the following technologies: SQL, DAX and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis features.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate business insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance techniques.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps, is preferred.
