This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on financial operations role focused on the workflows that keep customer money moving accurately, securely, and efficiently.You will take ownership of cash operations, payment exceptions, reconciliations, and partner settlements while maintaining strong operational controls.The role involves close collaboration with Finance, Treasury, Product, Compliance, Customer Success, banking partners, and other stakeholders.You will investigate transaction issues end to end, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial records remain accurate and audit-ready.Beyond daily operations, you will help improve processes through data, automation, and responsible use of AI.You will have meaningful ownership in a fully remote environment while contributing to scalable financial operations as the business grows.This opportunity is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who combines financial discipline with strong judgment and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the cash operations queue end to end, managing payment queries, deposit exceptions, transaction issues, and operational escalations.
  • Investigate payment and cash discrepancies by tracing transactions from initiation through settlement and identifying root causes.
  • Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of customer funds and financial transactions, maintaining records that support Finance, Compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Work directly with banking and payment partners to manage recalls, rejects, escalations, and other transaction-related issues through to resolution.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding payment status, exceptions, risks, and expected resolution timelines.
  • Strengthen controls around customer money movement by identifying recurring failure points and implementing practical improvements.
  • Support smoother customer funding and withdrawal experiences by resolving operational issues quickly and sharing recurring insights with Product and other teams.
  • Contribute to Financial Operations initiatives such as partner migrations, transaction workflow changes, account conversions, and treasury or accounting projects.
  • Develop and maintain clear standard operating procedures, documentation, and operational workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency through automation, data analysis, and AI-powered tools.
  • Use AI responsibly to accelerate investigations, analysis, case summaries, and communications while applying appropriate human validation and judgment.
  • Support the development of scalable processes that improve accuracy, control, operational efficiency, and auditability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex operational issues and ensure financial processes remain aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to make Financial Operations more reliable, efficient, and scalable.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in cash operations, payments, banking operations, financial operations, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of the controls and attention to detail required when working with customer funds and financial transactions.
  • Proven experience with financial reconciliations and the ability to trace transactions end to end to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the persistence to identify root causes rather than simply resolve symptoms.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational issues and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to follow issues through to resolution and proactively communicate progress and risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with ticketing or case-management systems such as Zendesk.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of accounting transaction workflows and financial operations processes.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
  • Confidence using AI-powered tools in daily work, with the judgment to validate AI-generated outputs where financial accuracy, controls, and auditability are critical.
  • Experience with payment exceptions, deposit recalls, bank-partner escalations, transaction reconciliations, or settlement processes is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with bank integrations, settlement accounts, direct debit, or partner payment flows is desirable.
  • Experience using SQL or lightweight scripting for data investigation or workflow automation is a plus.
  • Experience using AI copilots to analyze information, summarize cases, or draft communications is beneficial.
  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English is an advantage.
