At Greener, we're accelerating the transition to sustainable energy through smart energy management solutions. Our Energy Management System (EMS) enables businesses to optimize, control, and balance their energy assets, from batteries to solar installations and beyond. As part of our EMS development team, you'll work closely with colleagues from different disciplines to continuously improve and expand our platform.  

As a Python Developer, you'll play a key role in expanding the capabilities of our EMS. One day you might be integrating new assets such as solar inverters or hydrogen systems, while the next you'll be improving battery functionality within microgrids or developing new optimization logic that balances different energy sources. You'll work in a complex but exciting codebase, collaborating with engineers, energy specialists, and product teams to turn ideas into scalable solutions. Who are you? 

  • A true Greener – you want to make the world a bit better, you question the status quo, and you're always looking for ways to innovate and improve 
  • 0-3 years of work experience, but some experience (e.g. a personal project) with Python in an IoT context 
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and networking; 
  • Minimum HBO level (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree); 
  • Experience with or strong affinity for IoT, hardware integration, or connected devices; 
  • Interested in sustainable energy, electricity systems, and innovative energy technologies; 
  • Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with diverse stakeholders and a complex codebase; 
  • Strong communication skills in English; 
  • Valid work permit for the Netherlands (Greener is unable to sponsor a work visa) and living in the Netherlands 

Nice to have 

  • Experience working with IoT platforms, protocols, or edge devices; 
  • Exposure to energy management, batteries, solar systems, microgrids, or hydrogen technologies.
