About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2028
The Senior Project Manager leads the delivery of complex data and digital projects from planning through to implementation and handover. They manage project teams, vendors and budgets, while working closely with senior leaders, business areas and external partners to keep projects on track and manage risks. The role provides clear advice, builds strong relationships and supports change to meet business and customer needs. Success means projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and are ready for ongoing operations, helping the department achieve its priorities and improve services.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and experience in traditional project management and agile delivery. (mandatory)
- Project Management Certification (eg PMP, Prince2 / PMBok) or Agile Certification. (mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) managing complex and diverse data and digital programs in a government or large private sector organisation. (mandatory)
- Experience relevant to the accountabilities and capabilities of the role. (mandatory).
