Full description

The Graduate Java Developer will be expected to:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile/SCRUM team to deliver software solutions.
  • Learn and understand functional requirements, technical designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with technical leads, senior developers, and designers to clarify requirements and technical approaches.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of Java-based applications and APIs.
  • Write clean, simple, maintainable code under guidance from experienced team members.
  • Follow project coding standards, development processes, and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, learn from feedback, and apply improvements to future development work.
  • Support the creation and execution of unit tests and integration tests.
  • Support application builds and releases to development and test environments.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and provide progress updates on assigned tasks.
  • Work with testers and developers to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Document relevant technical information, learning notes, and implementation details.
  • Build knowledge of new technologies, tools, frameworks, and software development practices.
  • Develop an understanding of secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery.
