Responsibilities

  • Ensures all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the inspections.
  • Prepares and plans the deployment of workers to fulfill the commissioning schedule.
  • Ensures the preparation of procedures and guidelines for systematic inspection, commissioning and start-up of Hull equipment.
  • Initiate and manage the inspection, commissioning by Coordinating between the company and OEM.
  • Highlight operational issues with regards to machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure that OEM meets the Contractual agreement accordingly.
  • Audit work site regularly and ensure that proper housekeeping is adhered to.
  • Supervise onsite commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate work with other Trades.
  • Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklist.
  • Track and review progress through HAT meetings.
  • Attend progress meeting to keep up status and close issues with customers.
  • Ensures that all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the commissioning process.
  • Compile and update commissioning report/ records.
  • Assist with Identification and set right commissioning and malfunction issues.
  • Access the requirements of special tools and equipment required for commissioning and initiate procurement if required.
  • Review the tools and equipment used for Safety and Efficiency.
  • Develop and update RA accordingly and enforce on-site and conducted weekly safety briefing with supervisors and workers

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture/Structural/Marine Engineering or other electrical/offshore/electronic related studies.
  • Naval Institute Trained
  • Shipboard or Preferably 3 years or more of working experiences in similar capacity.
  • No experience can be considered for junior role.
  • Knowledge of Class requirements & Quality Standard requirements for shipbuilding, hull Construction and welding.
  • Must be able to understand shipbuilding, hull Construction and welding related schematic & arrangement drawings and instructions
  • Knowledge and skills in Hull auxiliary systems equipment's operational requirements.
  • Adequate Computing Knowledge as well as use of Microsoft Office and e-mail.

  • Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
